Working 362 Days a Year...
When entity wagering company MK Invest, LLC gets invited to a wedding or asked to take a vacation or heaven help us we get asked to go on a couple’s retreat, the answer is always the same. We can go July 15th, 16th and 17th. See, every real hard-core sports fan and bettor knows that nothing can or should be planned except during MLB All-Star break. I never understood anyone scheduling a wedding for any other day then this time, I mean seriously we have games to evaluate and games to watch. There are high visibility sport games played 362 days a year but there are 3 days every year that the sports world stops and take a deep breath. Any other weekday or weekend you have some major sporting event happening that needs to be taken into consideration. MK Invest, LLC has 3 days off a year and those 3 days come at during the MLB All-Star break.
The MLB All-Star break is truly a holiday for MK Invest, LLC and the only time we are not working on the next round of selections. And while the All-Star game could be fun to bet on, we typically do not have play releases and in all seriousness, this really are the only three days we get to take off. This years all star game will be played in Nationals Park, Washington, DC. and should be a great show. It’s been 50 years since DC has hosted an All-Star game and with their beautiful new stadium we should expect them to roll-out the red carpet and hold nothing back in their efforts to give all the players, journalist, and fans a fun and exciting time.
While we more than likely not be playing the MLB All-Star game, for us and our clients here are some things to think about if your interested. For the home run derby – think about taking the host cities player(s). As far as the game is concerned there is definitely a streaky trend. The American League has won 5 in row from 2013 -2017, the National League won 3 in row between 2010 – 2013, while the American League won 12 in row (with a tie in 2002) from 1997 – 2009. So, since 1997 the American League is 17 - 3 – 1.
