MLB Preview Texas at Chicago

MLB Preview Texas Rangers at Chicago White Sox by entity wagering company mkinvestllc. Las Vegas, Nevada. The Texas Rangers will leave the pacific northwest this evening after a two-game split with the Seattle Mariners winning the second game by the score of 5-1. The win over Seattle broke a three-game losing streak for the Rangers.

The White Sox head back to Chicago after dropping today’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates going 0-2 in the series. The White Sox are now 1-9 in their last 10 games. Neither team has dominated the other and have split the last 10 games, each winning 5 games overall.

Cole Hamels take the mound for the visiting Rangers and has been pretty much lights out this year. Unfortunately for Hamels he has not received much run support and sports a 2- 4 record to show for his overall 3.48 ERA. Hamels current form, over his last 3 starts, shows a 1.59 ERA over 17 innings allowing just 10 hits while striking out 18 batters. Hamels is 2-1 on the road with a solid 2.54 ERA. Hamels has not faced Chicago this year but last year pitched in Chicago and went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits, striking out 8 batters while walking none.

The home team White Sox counter with James Shields who is 1-4 overall with a 5.44 ERA. This year Shields has pitched 48 innings allowing 44 hits and 22 walks. Shields saving grace here is that he has allowed just 4 home runs. The White Sox are 0-5 in shields last 5 starts, 2-8 against the AL West, and 1-4 in his last 5 home starts.

The news for Texas and Cole Hamels is not much better as the Rangers lack of run support for Hamels brings the teams record to just 1-6 in his last 7 starts. However, the difference in this game just might be Hamels strong play against weaker teams as the Rangers are 31-9 in Hamels last 40 starts when facing a team with a losing record and 15-7 in Hamels last 22 road starts when facing a team with a losing record.

More than likely the runs in this game will be given up by the White Sox Stater, Shields and the Texas Rangers bull pen.

The line has been set at Rangers -1.27 White Sox +1.17 with the total set at 9.

mkinvestllc prediction Texas Rangers 6, Chicago White Sox 4
