MLB Preview LA Dodgers (40-35) at NY Mets (31-43) by entity wagering investment company mkinvestllc. Sunday, June 24 – First Pitch at 1:10 PM EST. Citi Field, New York City, New York.

There is nothing but dominance by the LA Dodgers over the NY Mets in recent years. Since May 2016 the LA Dodgers have beaten the NY Mets 11 straight times and it has not even been close, the closest game played over this stretch was a 4-2 win by the Dodgers back on May 29th, 2016. Over the last 10 games the Dodgers have outscored the Mets by 52 runs (74 to the Mets 22). At the time of this writing Jason Vargas was the listed starter for the Mets but was scratched overnight, Vargas is dealing with a calf strain and will not start today. We have not gotten a replacement, Chris Flexen from AAA Las Vegas was called up to take Vargas spot on the roster but we have no official announcement of who will start the final game of this series.

Maybe the starter won’t matter, except for those who want to see the new line and totals posted for potential betting opportunities. The Dodgers are red hot have the numbers look like this:

  • The LA Dodgers are 7-1 the last 8 times the played a team with a losing record

  • The LA Dodgers are 12-3 the last 15 road games

  • The LA Dodgers are 24-9 overall in their last 33 games

  • The LA Dodgers are 55-25 in the 80 games when facing NL East teams

  • The LA Dodgers and Hill are 7-0 when facing teams form the NL East

  • The LA Dodgers have on 11 in row over the Mets

  • The LA Dodgers are 13 – 3 the last 16 games against the Mets

  • The LA Dodgers are 18-6 the 24 times they played in New York’s home park

As for the Mets?

  • The NY Mets are 16-37 in their last 53 games

  • The NY Mets are just 8-23 in their last 31 home games when facing left-handed starter

  • The NY Mets are just 7-21 in their last 28 games played at home

  • The NY Mets are 0-5 in their last 5 games played against the NL West

While we don’t have a starter for the NY Mets just yet, the LA Dodgers send Rich Hill to the mound who is 1-2 overall with 4.99 ERA. Hill is coming off a gem against the Chicago Cubs where he threw 6 scoreless innings and allowed just 3 hits. That performance came after a month off due to a blister and was by far the Hill’s best outing of the year.

If we get an official starter and Vegas puts a line out, we will ty to come back update our predication and the new opening line.

Current Line: Off

Prediction: LAD 7, NYM 2
